The table collection called “space-time” has different inspiring sources. First the idea of combining different local materials in a simple yet allusive way; then the need of integrating handicraft experiences distant to each other, while keeping in mind the vision of Salento as an island; and ultimately the integration of the concept of stratification to the variable of time. The tables allude at wide lakes populated by small islands and represent such landscapes through crystal asymmetrical layers intersected by olive tree wood round surfaces. The time dimension is visible in the overlaying of the Lecce stone columns of different thickness, as a clear reference to the real and virtual stratifications provoked by time.
