A SDW window looks over Via dei Verardi 19 in Lecce, between Porta San Biagio and the Castle of Charles V, along the east border of the old town centre, where one easily gets fascinated by the surrounding workshops and where skilled and patient craftsmen used to work and to mould materials such as papier mache and clay.
In the atelier of via dei verardi, besides the SDW collection, it is also possible to admire Fernando Longo’s installations and performances, all consistent with the creative philosophy of Fernando Longo and of those willing to use the SDW space as an instrument to communicate and interact with the city. It aims at becoming a blackboard on which it is possible to write and to show all sorts of thoughts and ideas, playful or provocative, ironical or sarcastic.
