The "DELLA PRINCIPESSA" vase collection was born from a simple yet elegant gesture. It is indeed the result of the transposition into contemporary style of a classical architectural feature, the unusual and extraordinary moulding of the balustrade in the Filomarini Palazzo Ducale in Cutrofiano - Lecce, also known as "della Principessa", the princess’s porch. The same moulding theme is reproduced on the vases surface realized at the potter’s wheel following traditional moulding techniques and applying enamel and wax treatments. The project demonstrates how the tradition and the local artistic heritage may suggest colorful hints, narrate and fascinate, build and decorate.
